an awning tip

This isn't really a tip, but something I read in the Dometic manual that I have never thought of but makes sense, so I thought would share.

Now my awning is motor driven, but it seems to me, it should apply to manual varieties as well. The idea is not to run the awning too far and put stress on the seam. I made the picture but Dometic manual has something similiar.

Make sure that the seam if like the "good" example not like the "bad" when you fully extend your awning.
