Ants

Me and my bride take our 1 yo rig out about 1 time a month for a weekend or so and the last few times its not long before ants descend upon us. I try to spray the perimeter and such but these rascals are relentless. We try to keep all sweets and trash picked up but still....ants. I hate using those poisons but what am i to do?? perhaps the ants have nested inside?
or they descend on you from the outside?

Home Depot carries Boric Acid, a natural chemical defense against ants. Find it in the pest section...

Some ant traps along with the boric acid should help control them.

1 cup of sugar, 1 tablespoon of boric acid or 20 mule team borax, and 1/4 cup of water.
Place in sauce pan and bring to boil for 3 minutes, let cool. Put in pop bottle lids and set around on counters or on the ground under the camper. Ants drink it and carry it back to the nest and share with the colony. In a day or two entire colony is dead, even the queen.
When placing it outside make sure honey bees and hummingbirds can't get to it by placing in a spray paint cap with a couple of holes drilled in the side and cover with plastic cling wrap.
