While camping recently at a state park we were inundated with a bunch of these small little flies or gnats, don't know what they were. Since our rig is equipped with two of the Fantastic Fans I noticed that unlike the older ones the grill can be popped off without using a tool. Now since there is a light mounted within about 8" of the fan I reasoned: 1) bugs are attracted to light, 2) if the little buggers get close to the fan they get sucked up into it. I therefore removed the screen from the fan, turned it high and left just the one light turned on in the rig while we watched TV. WALA! Most of the bugs were attracted to the light and sucked out of the rig by the fan!

One very patient wife and one furry child who travels with us. Forty-two years of trailering and camping, and I still have a blast.
And I thought this was going to be another telephone bug (aka love) thread.
Excellent thought. We've been in places that the no-see-ums were terrible and I wish I'd thought about sucking them out the fantastic fan before now. I guess I'll go ahead and install the other one in the living room now that I have another reason to. Thanks fot the idea.
