So we live in our destination RV full time as we try to sell our home. Been trying to do as much as possible to warm things up. I have already put up insulation underneath and heat wrapped our drain pipes (in another post).
The last thing I wanted to do was put up some sort of wind break for underneath. All the options didn't work for me.
1. RV skirting- too damn expensive to get made and fitted to the RV.
2. Hay bales- Could see bringing in an army of rodents and bugs to live under my camper.
3. Wood/foam sheets- ugly and would also leave gaps big enough for rodents to bugs to live.
I figure that a windbreak is exactly that, just a break. I had already sealed the bottom of my camper with insulation and the pipes, I was just looking to break the drawing power of the wind blowing underneath.

My mother in law already had some fiberglass stakes used for gardening or snow fencing. I put it up on the north side of the camper, zip tied it to the stakes, and then used cord and tent stakes to give the poles rigidity that were on ends and pressure points. Sure, it moves a bit, but is definitely blocking the wind. I also put it away from the RV so the poles wouldn't be hitting the camper as much and rodents/bugs wouldn't be so inclined to crawl their way up. I ordered another 50' to do the end and back side of the camper where our waste pipes are. Hopefully it lasts in the long run.
Might not be allowed in many parks, but a good way to inexpensively keep the wind at bay. Wind under the RV is a big chill factor. In fact it is the same result for us outside with a wind chill factor. Feels much colder. Take care,

I like it. I got 1/2 in insulation board and wedged it under the camper.

Wonder why it would not be allowed. It looks quite neat.
Any particular reason you didn't or couldn't wrap it tight around the slideout? That has to allow quite a bit of air flow.
