Clean LP Tank Cover

I try to keep the outside of the camper as clean as possible, but the plastic LP Tank cover looks bad. Black streaks and generally does not want to come clean easily or stay clean for long once it is clean. Any ideas?

I just use some of the Awesome cleaner on mine yesterday. It worked pretty good but didn't get it off completely. The porous plastic is tough to clean.

I figured black streak removal would work, and does, problem is just comes right back since the cover collects dirt that when it rains run down the sides. Was hoping to find a way to prevent the black streaks. But one suggestion, black covers, now thats one way to do it. I will have to look for a new cover in black, that should take care of it, and look different, thanks for the suggestion.

Just bought a black spare tire cover for our new trailer off Amazon for less than $20 shipped.
