clothes hangers

We have a nice large wardrobe slide in our Rockwood 2608. I had problems last summer with hangers bouncing off both the rod in the slide and the wardrobe at the back. Any ideas? I really don't want to buy special hangers.

Try a piece of foam pipe insulation. It's slit to go over the rod, easily cut to get the length you need, and when you aren't using it for your hangers put it on the corners of your slides to avoid bangin' your head.

Another solution is to purchase Lynx brand short-necked hangers. The opening for the hanging rod is tight and the hanger has to be pushed onto the rod. They will not slip off like the ones we use at home do. We purchased them at Camping World for about $6 for 6 hangers. Because these are short-necked, they will also add a little extra room below your clothes.

Use wire hangers and bend the loop over tight against rod.

we use a $2 spring clamp. Push the clothes to one side and hold in place with clamp. we use clamp to hold towels outside to trees. The clamp looks like the letter "A".

Free fix: hook your hangers "backwards" opening pointing toward the door. Don't know why this works but it does, was a tip from my Grandma when we got our TT.
