Comp hook up

I'm not sure this is the right category for my topic, Mr. Admin. Please move as you see fit.

When we bought this CC., we figured the TV set would serve as the perfect comp monitor. It works. But, not without some problems. The first one being, I don't have young eyes anymore. I move the recliner forward, but still have difficulty seeing the icons, etc. Then there's the matter of comfort.

So, my point is, if you're contemplating using it as a monitor, I'd think twice. A laptop or iPad is so much more usable.

I did the exact same thing when I was working from the camper's bedroom. I used our TV as a 2nd monitor. It was good for some extra screen real estate, but not for working from on a regular basis.

Have you tried changing the screen resolution? You can make the icons bigger!

My son made the font bigger. The overall concept isn't gonna work for me. I thought it a good idea at the time. Maybe somebody else will rethink this and save themselves some trouble and $$$

Your PC and television should work well together, I do it all the time at home base, if your PC video output has a HDMI output plug this is your best option provided the tele. has HDMI as well. If not use the PC input on the tele. be sure to set the tele in full screen mode with the PC display on maximize. If this isn't large enough and you are using a PC with Windows there is a way in the personize area to choose larger icon settings (you can choose between 3 sizes). If you are not succesful with this take a picture of the screen and post it maybe we can help more from that.
