Cpap use in Isata 5

Most RVers are pretty resourceful and I sure someone will have an answer to this question. I have the Isata 5 30FW on order sight unseen other than photos. It does not look like my cpap will fit on the small shelf by the bed. Any suggestions on where to place or mount the unit? Is there an AC or DC outlet in the bedroom area? The DC adapter would use much less energy when boondocking. Considering the age of most RVers in this unit, cpap usage is something that Dynamax might want to consider. Thanks to any help.

We have a different TT than you have but the DW uses a CPAP and I bought a 12' extension for the 12V connector. Here's the one we got on Amazon. Our current TT didn't have a 12V outlet in the bedroom so I would run it from the entertainment center in the living area. Recently I added an outlet to the bedroom so the cord isn't stretched out.

Can't speak about your RV specifically but we went the DC-DC converter to power our CPAP. We tapped into a reading light above the bed for DC>

I've had several machines since I was diagnosed with sleep apnea. This last one is a 24 volt. The others except my first one were 12 volt. The first one was strickly 120v. Double check the required voltage for your machine.

I was recently prescribed nocturnal oxygen therapy for PH ( no copd.) I find it to be really loud and hard to sleep with. I ended up putting the concentrator down the hall and shutting my door. Does anyone else have this issue and what do you do in a small rv? I haven't traveled with mine yet but was toying with the idea of putting it outside the door. The concentrator also scares my dogs who travel with me.

Will your cpap run on 12v?
If so, get a 12v cord that is compatible with your model machine. It will handle the machines power needs.
Does your machine have a humidifier and do you plan on using it? Humidifiers require more current and thus make sure the receptacle, receptacle wiring and fuse is suitable to accommodate.
You might fine running a dedicated 12v circuit directly from your battery is best.

Happy cpaping.

There are AC outlets on both side of the bed base in our 3010DS Sunseeker. Also a small shelf on the side of the bed towards the rear of our unit. Gr eat place to put a CPAP machine, although we do have to switch sides of the bed that we normally use. Our 3010 DS Iis not the biggest or fanciest rig out there, there are many features har we really like ke!

FYI as it may help someone. Wife's CPAP is powerd by 120 volts AC which feeds a small "converter" which rectifies it and takes it down to 24 Volts DC.

I cut the cord after the converter going to the CPAP and installed a quick disconnect plug. I then installed a 12 volt DC to 24 volt DC converter in my RV and connected directly to the CPAP quick disconnect plug I installed. VIOLA, EASY and no need to waste power running the CPAPA off of an inverter.

Hope this helps someone.

Cpap use in Isata 5

Thanks to all. The replies on the cpap use were greatly appreciated. Let me try to do a better job of clarifying what I need to know. We don't currently own the Isata 5 30FW, it's on order. We are really reaching out to someone who has this model. We do a lot of boondocking and want to be able to use the cpap in a DC to DC mode. This requires a DC outlet somewhere in the RV. The perfect answer would be an outlet in the bedroom. Is there any area by the bed where I can actually place the cpap unit?
