DIY RV Parts Info
I found a new (to me) cheap RV parts outlet. I was a at auto wrecking yard called "Pick A Part". I needed a replacement blower motor for my old Dodge P/U. While there I saw an area with some wrecked RVs. It was a gold mine in parts. Anodes for $0.50 as an example. A 12VDC toilet roof fan complete assembly for $5.00. The fan assembly is going to be my black tank power roof vent. How about a spare tire, with those little rubber nubs still on it, and rim for $20.00. So if you have a wrecking yard near by, check and see if they have any RVs available to look at. If so, stock up. According to the guy I dealt with, the wrecked RVs are not there for long, as they are purchased by RV dealers for parts also. That, and for flat bed frames if the they are not bent. Scrappers go for the aluminum, A/C units, stoves and fridges.
