Dometic fridge tip for high altitudes

We recently spent a week in Rocky Mountain National Park at about 8500 feet altitude. Most of the time there was no problem with the refrigerator operating on propane. Before we left on the trip I made sure the burner tube was free of obstructions as recommended on this forum. When there was a strong wind blowing, parallel to the trailer, the flame would not stay lit. The fix for this was very simple. I just removed the access cover for the back of the fridge from the side of the trailer. Apparently this allowed enough extra air to get in to keep the flame burning. The same problem occurred with the water heater and was also solved by removing the cover. Hope this proves helpful for others.
