Draining the pink stuff
Just wondering how and where most people drain and flush their system. If u let it drain in ur driveway overnight ur cat licks it up and goes to cat heaven. If u collect it in a bucket and dump it down the storm drain some say it contaminates the water supply. Can u take it back to Walmart for disposal? Maybe we can package it and send it to one of those groups that wants to cut our heads off with a dull knife. Just curious what other people do.

If by "the pink stuff" you mean RV antifreeze, it's supposed to be non-toxic in moderation. It's mostly just alcohol anyway, and not even denatured.
I let it run down the driveway where it gradually evaporates. If you're concerned, hose it down (unless you live in a drought state).

I add a few gallons of water to the fresh water tank with my drinking water hose then hook the hose to the city water inlet & flush the pink stuff into the holding tanks using the city water. Once the water runs clear at each faucet, I disconnect the city water & run the water pump to push the remaining pink stuff into the holding tanks. Might get a little on the street when I clear the outside shower & low point drains but that happens when I winterize too. I then use a tank wand to rinse the water heater out.
We typically are headed out for a camping trip right afterwards so we just hit the dump station if need be on the way into the campground or use the one here in town before we leave.

I just open the faucets and let it go into the holding tank. It's only a few gallons so it doesn't take up much room, and it gets dumped with the rest of the tank.
It's potable system safe, so odds are it's pretty harmless to drink.
As for the cat, they're best when cooked well.

I don't use it to begin with in my lines. compressed air, pink for toilets and drains only. Hate the aftertaste.

I drain it into buckets and put it down my house sink until it runs fairly clear, then switch to lawn disposal. A bit of carrying to this method but then my lawn doesn't smell like pink stuff. It is "safe" for the beasties, but I'm sure it's not beneficial.

After I drain out the pink stuff, I flush the system with darned near half a tank of fresh water to get rid of the nasty smell. I don't have anywhere to dump my holding tank and I don't like to start the first trip of the year with my grey and/or black tank half full.

I hate to be a dummy but what is a tank wand?
And as for dumping the pink stuff in the neighbors yard I'm already dumping my used motor oil there so I was looking for an alternative regarding the well done cat.....I've heard of cooking the dogs. The so called Hot Dogs but I thought it was supposed to be Cool Cats. Oh well. Lame attempt at humor on my part. Thanks for your answers to my question and I hope everyone has a happy flushing experience this year!

Catch it all in a metal bucket, put it on the stove and boil until it all disappears.

It's the same stuff I put in my swimming pool lines (I buy enough for the pool and the camper). This is not automobile antifreeze. I use Peak brand. "Non-toxic, odorless and non-staining" per the container.

DO NOT pump onto the lawn. I made that mistake this year and burned a large section of it with all the harsh chemicals in the pink stuff.
Best to drain it into an appropriate container and dispose of it in an appropriate way.
Learn from my mistake.
Vin.
