Dumb move

I just tried to pull my trailer out of the shed with the bedroom slide out. OUCH. The amazing thing is that while I destroyed the garage door track and bent the door entry. AND dimpled the fascia on the slide in. The slide in works fine. I know that a few folks have had problems with the sweichart (sp) mechanisms, they sure seem strong to me.

I have been informed that I can never take the camper out of the shed without the DW on the phone and in charge. While I normally don't agree to such agreegious demands, it's probably a good idea in my case.

Whew

I did something similar with my fold out steps once. Fortunately was going slow and the windows were open so I heard it right away. No real damage.

I normally walk around the trailer twice, once in each direction before I move it.

Ouch

One of my guys left the outriggers down while taking off............
He "wondered why it pulled so hard"
Took a torch to get the bent arms and cylinders off so the truck could be driven out of the middle of the road.
I had to write up my first incident report.

Got the camper fascia straight but will need to replace the decal.

I unbolted the door track and beat it back to straight ish. Survived another stupid. Probably more to come.

It's an adventure after all, that's why we do it.
