Fifth Wheel supplies? Rookie

Hey everyone!

Picking up our fifth wheel this week and would like to make a list of essential gear(hoses, tools etc). Any feedback would be great! Will be buying a 3000 watt honda generator.

Hardwired Ems surge guard.
Digital volt ohm meter.

Those two things would be at the VERY top for my essentials!

For the landing legs and rear jacks.

Amazon.com: Andersen Camper Leveler Tuff Pads 3606: Automotive

To raise and lower the rear jack with a drill.
Amazon.com: Camco 57363 Leveling Scissor Jack Socket: Automotive

To keep it clean.

Some of these you can get at Walmart cheaper and faster.

X 2 on the Electrical Management system.
Something else I found useful was a 5 gal bucket that I use to coil the 50 amp cable into. It also holds the 30amp extension cable and pig tail connector. These are helpful if you're at a site where the power supply is too far from the trailer or only has a 30amp supply - assuming that is, that your new 5th wheel is 50amp.

X eleventy on the power protection. DH and I were lucky noobs, but after learning so much here, we wouldn't even have taken our shake down trip without electrical protection. The RV gods were lookin' out for us on that one.

Agreed.

Portable or hardwired matters little but one Is needed.

Portable example.

This one is mine, there are many like it but this one is special to me because it protects what is mine.
