Finallly: Here are the mods I have made so far

Well when I started on here we were a Lance 10.3 camper. Nice but too much climbing, inadequate storage and sleep space for guests and couldn't use the truck too easily while camping.

Then we Got a Used Weekend Warrior TH and put a bunches of mods on it by learning from this forum and the every popular RVers friend YouTube. Did a lot without documenting much on here. Stocking this site was part of what led to our purchasing our now one year old 2017 Sandstorm 250 TH. I started with a factory tour and promised that I would post all about the NEW TH. One year down and lots to report but NOTHING POSTED to speak of yet. SOOOO HERE GOES WITH A COUPLE OF OUR MODS on the new coach which was special ordered pretty well loaded from the factory.

Could not stand the little poop tube compartment in the side that only holds a one ended ten foot hose. So looked high and low for a 5 X 5 fence post that many use and no one near me stocks it and they are White. The TH is not so I settled for the Valterra EZ poop tube storage that we used on the old TH. We have the enclosed "Arctic Package" bottom and there was not a straight shot between frame I beams where I would not likely drag it off on a curb or a rut. So we mounted it on the Z-brackets out board from the I beams. Had to buy a replacement end and cut the 64 ince tube to fit between three outriggers. Easy after sizing to screw it on with the included screws and pilot hole drilling or self tappers.

Here are pictures and I promise they are upside RIGHT on my computer, but as they post on the preview each is upside down. So have fun standing on your head to view these. LOL

This is One Project finally documented to the members.

My other project from this week

Wow if the moderators know how to flip those pictures it would be great but sadly I do not.

Also have become addicted to USB charging ports. Spoiled that this coach do have 12v powered USB outlets in two locations. To on my side of the bed, a walk around RV queen, I have round 12v socket and two USB ports. so I pulled one over to the DW's night stand by a long charging cord under the top of the bed so we can charge phone in bed at night. The big 12v socket takes the 12 v power cord for my Bi-pap nicely

So what about sitting at our two place (dinette substitute) cocktail table in swivel rockers looking out our picture window. Well next to the door in the power cabinet there is a nice 12 v like next my bed, with round 12 v socket and two USBs. DW did not like my cord draped over the picture to my seat and the fact that it was hanging on the cabinet handles to this is what I did.

I decided on a flush mount under the cabinet fixture like next to my bed, with power stolen from the locally switched led light there which is supplied by a 14 ga 12v wire. Well the hollow space between the cabinet bottom and the shelf surface inside the cabinet is only just over a inch and the flush mounts require about 2 to 2 1/2 inches of space to we went with a surface mount unit from Ebay. Easy huh? 26 inch wire run from the light to the new fixture. NOT. All set to run the wire and pushed the coat hanger through and in 13 inched it hit a block. Like a fire block in the wall but horizontal and thank heaven just a strip of pine. Had to buy a stubby 3/4 inch auger with a 36 inch long 1/4 inch Flexible steel shaft. Wish I had a picture of that monster boring through. More importantly, after spending over $30 for the fancy bit, I was sweating bullets imagining how I would tell DW that the bit broke through in to the liquor cabinet above. It didn't. The darn thing worked just as intended. Result follows:

Pictures will probably invert again so try standing on your head to appreciate the job.

Wow again if a site team member can tell me how to fix this I will.

Thanks TOM

Thanks TOM
