Forester 2401 MBS

Looking for alternative storage for sewer hose. The built in one is very short (less than 2 feet) and does not accommodate a hose with fittings at both ends (really Forest River, who would have thought we would put fittings at both ends?) I do not have a square rear bumper like I had one my TT, so no way to store it in there. Currency using a plastic tote in one of the exterior storage compartments, but would like to store it outside somewhere. Tried HD and 4' plastic pipe (largest they had), but ID is not big enough for fitting.

Lots of folks have gone this route - uses 5" vinyl fence post with a vinyl rain gutter inside for a sliding tray. An easy DIY and it holds the hose and fittings.

I have a piece of 5" vinyl fence post. Is this mounted on a Forester MBS? If so, how is it attached to the frame?

No, we have a Cruise Lite travel trailer and it is mounted to the frame of the trailer with "L" brackets purchased at good ole Home Depot. I'm not sure if you could hang it off of your coaches frame or not. Maybe you could mount it to the existing rear bumper? I have seen these hose holders mounted in many different ways on TT's and motorhomes - you'll just have to find the spot that works for yours (ground clearance, etc.)
