Froze my pipes

So I think I messed up, first real week camping and we have freezing weather last night in Arizona. I didn't do anything to protect my tank or pipes and now nothing works today. Will have to wait-and-see if I damaged anything.

How cold did it get and how long did that cold last? If you're hooked up to city water supply, might just be your hose outside.

If it did not get much below freezing for a few hours, you should be OK, but turn off the water just in case you do have damage and things thaw.

I also suspect it is the city water supply hose. Had that happen a couple of weeks ago on a 28 degree morning. I swapped out the hose for an extra one I carry and all was well. I put the frozen one in the sun to thaw.

Happened to me in early October. Forecast didn't include a freeze, but it happened anyway. I couldn't even turn off the city water connection, as it was frozen open! Used a hair dryer on the hose bib to thaw it enough to close. Unhooked the hose and let it thaw in the sun. Had to use the hair dryer on the tank valves too! All is well now. I ran off of the little bit of fresh water I had in the tank at the time.

Glad to see there were no ill effects.

Let's be careful, it's winter time out there....
