GPS Recommendations

Since I've recently moved from truck/5er combo to a motorhome, I've realized I need (or want, as I do have one "somewhere") to get a new GPS. My question is, after looking at all the new offerings, is there one that stands out among the rest for ease of operation, visibility, mapping, etc.? What's your take on what you have and what features do you use or not use?

Garmin Dezl 760LMT is what I have and like it. Have a Garmin nuvi 2450LMT in TOWTA's old junker.

First, congratulations on the rolling stock upgrade. We were parked next to a Georgetown XL at BamaGanza which made us jealous. As for the GPS issue, we really like certain features on our old Camping World / Good Sam GPS. There is a newer version available now (ours =RVND 7725 LM). The new one has faster processing and of course updated info in all categories. The most useful features we never thought about is the next rest area function and local campground info that's helpful when you have not planned the days' travel itinerary but want to stop within the next hour. Just choose parameters "on your route " then use the smart phone to evaluate ratings and call ahead. But it does not tell you which Cracker Barrel restaurants do not have RV/Bus parking, only fault so far.

I use the 7 inch Magellan. I have had it since we got our MH. Its for RV or truck. No problem so far.

Thanks SP! Talked my buddy that was at Nashville out of his yr old SOB and into a matching new FR Gtown also! The Good Sam 7735 is one that I'm currently looking at. I like the rest area feature!

I did look at that one, but kinda ruled it out, as I have tablets/phones that can do all of the extra stuff (email, etc) already. I do like the size of it though.

I agree. The size is what caught my attention. As far as the tablet function I think that would help for getting custom routes to the GPS. The other feature I wanted was the ability to add a backup camera. It is pretty pricey though.

I bought this Garmin ( Garmin Dezl 760LMT ) and used it for one trip and returned it. It kept leading us off the beaten path onto dirt roads. We went back to using a paper map cause we can get there without the dirt roads. That thing was designed for Semi truck drivers not RV'ers.
Garmin does make one for Rv'ers I'm just not going to trust one after the last feasko

The Garmin RV unit has a smartphone app that is suppose to send "trips" and destinations to the GPS via bluetooth. I keep reading bad reviews from all the different units though. I wonder if it's a case of bad input/setup or if they just don't do what they are suppose to. In any case, the navigation I had in my truck always got me to where I wanted to go without any trouble, so I would think with some due diligence just about any unit will work. Our Georgetown is shorter and lower than my 5er was, so that makes things a little easier.

I have the Garmin RV760LMT and love it. Much better than anything I've owned to date.

X2 on the Rand McNally 7735. It has done everything I want and hasn't steered me wrong yet. I have used it for 2 years.
