If you are sure it is the grey tank smelling, mix a cup or 2 of Pinesol in a couple of gallons of water and dump in the sink with the grey tank valves closed and travel to the campground with it sloshing around. You might also dump a cup or two of SuperKlean in it also to cut the cooking greases washed down the drain.

I think I'll give that a try the next time we roll out. Good idea.

Some smart person on these forums suggested putting Calgon and Borax in the black tank to help eliminate odors as the commercial products just didn't seem to do the trick. It works wonders. So I put some Calgon and Borax in the grey tank as well and all the funky odors have dissipated. I mixed it in a gallon jug with water and I pour half the jug down each drain after draining my tanks before I travel. I do run water after emptying the grey tanks and also run some water in the black tank then add the Calgon and Borax. It also helps with drain clogging as it prevents build-up.

We love Pinesol, too and it's also a great spray for cleaning inside your engine compartment in vehicles. (I spray it on everything except the spark wires, let it soak, then spray off) Makes all the plastic look brand new and my cars smell nice
