Question help with dump vale.

We have a 2006 23' wildwood. we have a dump valve on our fresh water tank similar to the blackwater dump valve. by reading the forum it appears to be an add on. the fitting is leaking at the tank, not the valve that can be rebuilt. does anyone know how to replace that fitting?

Are you sure? Sounds like you are looking at the Grey water tank drain not fresh water. Not sure about yours but some have more than 1 grey tank. Regardless, remove the 4 bolts around the flange of the valve and slide the valve out. This will allow you some room to work on the piping. Remove the piping fitting etc back to where the leak is, clean everything real good and re-glue check with your RV supply store for the correct glue probably Black Drisco pipe glue but better to check and be sure so you only do this once.

Also Welcome to the forum from mid California

Smile thanks for the reply

it is the fresh water tank. a previous owner had a dump valve added with a spin welded fitting that resembles the black and gray dump valve. this makes it very easy to use, but now there's a leak. wanting to know if anyone tried replacing a spin welded fitting on polyethylene tank?
