How do I add load wiring to an Onan Generator

In January 2019 I purchased a 23Pack15 toy hauler. It came generator ready. I was given a Onan Emerald 1 Generator (if I would remove it from an RV). After I removed it I paid $105 to have it tested. The motor runs fine. The fellow who ran the test told me that the generator produced 110 volts. He would not show me how he tested the voltage.
I was very careful not to damage the existing wiring in the RV when I removed it. I did not cut the load wires/conduit when I removed the generator. I apparently did not take photos before I disconnected the wires. I do not know where to put the load wires back. All the YouTube videos assume that you cut the load wires and are not concerned as to the location of their connection to the generator.

If I understand you correctly you are trying to ascertain where the L1 connection is? The L1 (load) should be clearly marked inside the panel on Terminal Bus 1 (TB1). Easily identified, it feeds the through the circuit breaker/fuse. The Neutral and Ground are connected to the L0 portion of TB1.

I took pictures of where I believe the L1 should be. I haven't been able to download them. I have not found a panel. I have a switch on the side wall of the box where all the wires are. There are two tabs on the back side of that switch. I think L1 may be the closest to the front of the two tabs on that switch. The other tab has a wire going to one of two banks on the back of the box. It goes to the bank on the left side of the box. Other wires indicate that the wire is neutral or ground. I have attached wires to 1. the tab on the back of the switch. 2. on the wire bank at the center of the back wall of the box. and 3. On the far left wire bank. with the generator running i get no real voltage from a match on any of the three possible locations.

What I thought was the L1 was the L1. I found a bolt at the end of the generator housing that had no purpose other then as a ground. When I tested the L1 and ground with a voltmeter I got 110. I attached a wire to that bolt and connected it an 110 outlet neutral side. Did the same with the L1 to the load side. I started the generator and successfully ran my A/C unit. I now need to figure out how to make a safe, permanent electrical attachment to the RV. I am certain that it is not that simple.
