How to Hang Stuff on Interior Walls

The SO purchased a piece of decorative art that she wants to hang on the interior side wall above the slide out. It is ~~ 2.5' long and only weighs about 2 pounds. I think it will require 3 points of attachment to prevent it from moving while we are in tow mode.

What can I use to attach it? I sure don't want to poke a hole through the wall!

Those "command" hooks for hanging things from Lowe's or Home Depot, or your local hardware store... that's what we use.

When we had the motorhome, DH hung some framed prints with super duty double sided tape...those pictures never moved in the 10+ years we owned it.....they also left with the MH when we sold it. LOL

I really like the command hooks and have used them for coats, bath towels, and lots of other things. They also come off easily when needed. Don't know how they would work with pictures as they are quite large even in the smaller sizes. Double sided tape would probably work well here.

Our last rig had pictures from the factory (cheesy looking if you ask me) but they were held on in three spots (top and bottom 2 sides) with heavy velcro. Never moved the 11 years we had the rig over 40K miles traveled.

The command hooks and the velcro type ones for hanging pictures/posters work great.

Command hooks work great for us and are removable. Use as many as you think you need to support the object being hung.

Our PO used double edge tape too. Art is gone but tape is still there. Now we need to find some art to cover it cause I think we will do damage trying to remove it.

We plan to acquire art representative of our travels.

3M command strips. If push comes to shove velcro to help out as well.

Love the command hooks. Just a small bit of caution. Stay away from hanging anything heavy as it may cause the wall covering to delaminate. I speak from experience. Hung DH's heavy terry bathrobe. With the heat of summer (Florida) & closed up in storage the weight pulled the wallpaper finish from the backing. Lucky I caught it before it tore the paper.

Mineral oil, baby oil or WD-40 should loosen up the double sticky tape. WD-40 works the best and is great for getting tree sap off your hands and other stuff. WD-40 is actually fish oil and works wonders. Our pouches that held our fan/light units and the pouch that holds all of or user manuals, were bound up in a very sticky packing tape. WD-40 took it right off. I then used Lysol wipes to clean off the oil. Cleaned up perfectly.

Yep, DW uses the command strips to hang a pic, indoor/outdoor therm. We also use them to hold the hook for our bath towels. They're pretty strong.
