Humidity

New to camping, should the humidity be kept as low as possible when in storage?

If possible yes! I use Damp-rid and let this absorbed the moister from the interior of my trailer when in storage. We empty the contents before moving the trailer out of storage. We check this every other month when the unit is in winter storage, low humidity in the winter.

We have a small TT (R-Pod) and use two gun-vault refreshable dehumidifiers. We check them every month.

What is the target number you are trying to keep the humidity at? I didn't even know I was supposed to be monitoring this.

My suggestion is out of state. Perhaps TN.

I would try to leave the area possible traveling up to the golf Shores or so. If this is not possible make sure that you have insurance that will cover the damage to the trailer and contents from hurricanes!
That is about all I can suggest. I know I have coverage if a tornado hit my trailer when in storage.

It can get pretty humid in MD is the summer and I have had issues with slight mold problems in past RVs. As i keep the TT next to the garage ( power available) I run a small household dehumidifier when the temp is above 45F. I have on with the drain hose option and ran the drain through one of the existing access holes through the bottom of the unit. I keep it set at 45-50%.
