Incorrect Panel Black Water/Propane Tank Readings

Just got our used 2007 Lexington 283GTS and are having problems with interior master panel that gives readings on the waste water levels and propane tank level. Drained the black/Grey water this past weekend after a short trip but the Black tank indicator still indicates full while the grey tank is ok at empty. Also, The interior propane reading is 2/3 full while the gauge on the outside near the tank indicates only 1/3 so don't know which one is correct. Any suggestions as to what my problem is with the interior panel?

First u should not post your email in an open forum.

Second you should not go by tank gauges they are not even much of a guide if you will.
In the black tank tp will stick to the probes and throw off the readings.
Flushing the tank and also not leaving empty helps.
Also do a search on. Geo method

The sensor in the black water tank gets fouled with bits of toilet paper, etc. A good tank cleaning might help. All propane tank gauges are unreliable except those that actually weigh the tank.

As for the propane, go by the outside gauge, it is in the tank, and while maybe not 100 percent, it is the better gauge. Others have mentioned the black tank solution, maybe.
If you search in here, some have recommended 5 gallons of water, then two bags of ice, and go for a ride. The ice will help scrub the walls of the tank, knocking anything loose.

The reason your probes are inaccurate and the permanent fix is located in this thread:

http://www.forestriverforums.com/for...ion-16089.html

My tanks are now perfectly accurate.

Note the photos of tank probe locations. The "1/3" light is actually a "not empty" light since a single flush may turn it on depending on where they drilled the hole.
