Installed roll out cabinet drawer today

Got this Lynk brand chrome roll out cabinet drawer at Amazon to put on the top shelf in the bottom center cabinet of the hutch. DW had back surgery and can't bend over too far to get into this cabinet and the island is directly across from it so it's tight quarters.

Had to put 2 1x2 strips underneath for bracing since the shelf is so thin and I lost about an inch in vertical space but that's ok the coffee pot fits and there's room on the sides for the cutting boards and other flat things.

There is a magnetic mount battery powered 10 LED light on the underside of the counter that has a motion detector so when you open the cabinet it comes on. Also from Amazon.

Great mod.
The first mod in our new Windjammer was adding a Lynk roll-out shelf... attaching the slides to 4 hardwood blocks in order for the roll-out to clear the bottom rail of the cabinet. Had to use the 11" roll-out due to the width of the frame opening but it made room for storing cereal boxes on both sides of the roll-out.

I like your addition of the motion detector LED...makes grabbing a midnight snack easier....it has been added to my spring to do mod list.
Thank you for sharing your mod.

Happy Trails

Nice, I like the looks and convenience. Hoping to get a few of ours done before we go out in the spring.
