I would like to comment about the feedback to your question is that we are not always comparing apples to apples. TT insurance cost & coverage can vary among members due to factors like coverage, deductibles, and zip code. A couple of times I started thinking about switching companies only to realize that I wasn't comparing the same coverage package. With that said I do like these threads because it goes provide some food for thought.

Now you have. They screwed me on an accident where my vehicle was parked and the person who hit it had no insurance. I dropped them and went with AAA, then how in UT, I have been with State Farm for five years.

Wow I wish I had some of these rates. My 2015 Columbus is with USAA & for full coverage (liability & collision) I am paying $811 per yr in KY. We haven't had a claim in years.

I left USAA after 20+ years. In my state they have become uncompetitive in their pricing and coverage. I also didn't care for them becoming primarily a financial company. I think it took their focus off of the insurance side of things.
I only pay for collision and comprehensive as liability is covered under my TV. For replacement with a $1000 collision deductible and $250 comprehensive deductible I pay $48 a year on top of my automobile coverage.

Keith, I switched to USAA a couple years ago & they have gone up quite a bit since I have been with them. Who are you using?

I switched to NC Farm Bureau. I've been with them a few years now. I have my house, vehicles and an umbrella with them. They are the largest insurer in the state and I have found their rates to average $400-$500 annually under what other companies quote for the same coverage. I live in the county but it is mainly an urban and suburban county as far as population goes. A bit crowded as far as I'm concerned but we are waiting for the DW to retire before we move to a more rural area.

They do have outstanding customer service. I can always get someone to answer the phone there as well. Always priced below any one else, plus there is that savings account that keeps growing each year. They send some of the funds each year from it when too large vs. premiums.
I have met an unhappy USAA customer. His family had totaled 3 cars in 2 years, all were their fault. He could not understand why his premiums were so high. I worked for him so I did not remind him of his claims history.
My insurance is $37.80 every 6 months for comprehensive & collision.

I have Good Sam insurance. They actually partner with National General Ins so you can look them up to compare. So far it's great. I can what they call park my trailer where they remove comp from the cost. It makes it cheeper when youre not using the trailer. there are some rules and it can be confusing. Depending on how much you use your trailer will depend on how much you pay. I have not had a claim yet (good thing) so no comment on how good they are to deal with.
I pay 360 a year if I never park it, 80 if I never take it out of storage.

Thanks! So far, Good Sam looks best for us. We are going full time July 15-the day we close on our house and hit the road!

well parking your trailer to save money may not be a concern then. I keep trying to get my wife to agree to sell the house and live out of the camper
Happy Camping
