Two spare bulbs for every type of bulb you have.

For those times when you need both hands.

For after those times when you needed both hands.

White fresh water hose (2x25 ft for 50 ft total)
Water pressure regulator
Sewer hose (we carry over 30 ft)
Clear elbow so you can see when tank is rinsed clean
If you don't have a built in black tank flush, then a wand and a separate long hose to flush tank from inside trailer.
Plumbers tape
Electric tape
Air compressor (ours will also jump a battery if necessary)
Heavy duty chocks
Leveling blocks (we use lynx levelers)
50 ft rv extension cord
30/50 amp dogbone adapter
20/30 amp dogbone adapter
Surge protector
Tool kit with cordless drill (14 v or better)
Extra fuses of all types in your trailer
Battery cutoff switch
Stock the inside like a house with dishes, toiletries etc that live in trailer so when camping you only have to worry about packing food and clothes.... We even have a hand held vacuum and.swiffer that live in our tt.
First aid kit
Camping chairs for outside
Grill
Fire poker
Safety hazard triangle in case of breakdown
Emergency roadside assistance (good Sam ers or coach-net). AAA has to have separate policy in place to tow your trailer for you.
Water filter is optional
If a tt, htt, pup see if you need wdh and sway control (ask and we will help you determine what type and better brands to get
Chemicals for black tank (we like the geo method)
Toilet paper.... Does not need to be rv specific, single ply septic safe is fine. We use angel soft with no issues.

Great lists! I would add a regular LED flashlight, a few hose clamps and if you have slides a dry lube. Enjoy the lifestyle!

As time goes you will end up with quite a list. Start off with items you will need for a trip such as clothes, shoes, shampoo, etc. As you read the feedback start adding the items you might need. Take into consideration the elements you will be camping in or how far you will be traveling.

I do recommend making a list of medications & medical ailments along with contact information in case of emergency. Many of us tend to keep this information in our smartphone but if we are the injured or ill person it would be helpful if another family member could access it too.

Great suggestions from some of our members. One other thing I wouldn't forget to pack...the "right" state of mind... Things will not always go smoothly...breakdowns, equipment failures, bad weather, grouchy wife (just kiddin' dear..) So, high on my list is ..."Attitude, the difference between ordeal and adventure!"

take it all, then decide what you don't need. i live in my TT so it's all here or in the truck. mine is in an rv park and for now as far as i can see, i don't plan on moving it for a long time. i'm sure the longer i sit here the more i wont want to move it. i'm still trying to determine what i need most and how much and what i don't need. they are very picky here as most places i'm sure about outside clutter and don't allow much at all and they really prefer nothing outside at all with exception of outdoor furniture. i sure understand that with clutter comes theft, trash plus creates new homes for 4 legged campers. i did convince them when i finish using my canoe for the most part this summer to let me store it under my TT locked to the axles and frame.

one thing i'd suggest is a good rain suit. a lot, most, mine...rv's don't have w/d's and a lot of times clothing may be packed down somewhere. another item i always carry is an old shower curtain. i don't advise it, but in some emergencies pulling over and getting under a vehicle is the only way to resolve a problem. shower curtain laid out protects against vehicle fluids on the ground, insects...down south here y'all nawthena's gonna meet fire ants at some point.

"A sense of humor is a must. You have to laugh at your mistakes or you won't have fun " X2 on that, bring plenty of patience, don't rush yourself setting up...if there is something you don't understand ask a neighbor, there usually is someone that wll be glad to help.

I'm a firm believer in "camp driveway". Spend a night or two in it and you'll figure out real quick what you forgot. At that point, it's easy to run inside and get it. There are some good suggestions here, but just don't try to take everything....what's the point of camping if you take your entire house with you? You'll add things as you go and realize there are some things that just take up space. After a couple of trips, if you haven't used it...get rid of it (with the exception of fuses, bulbs, etc.)

Pet health records.

Current Rabies certificate for sure and Meds. for Fido

Poo bags to clean up after Fido.

And of coarse some toys to keep Fido busy.

After you read all these posts, it's important to decide what YOU and YOUR family really need. Weight is important... it can get out of control in a hurry. Always keep weight management in mind. What you need on this trip you may not need on the next. Make a list of essentials and then go from there.

You can print out checklists from these sites, and tailor to your specifics:

Depending if you have an anti-sway hitch, and the brand, have spare socket pins and locking keys for securing the bars in place. I have the Equalizer brand on my rig, and went to a farm store and purchased bail-type socket pins, in the correct length and diameter, for the hitch end of the bars. For the back end of the bars, I bought locking pins for the L-bars that hold the main bars in place. These, too, are the thumb-bail variety, and so much easier to insert than the original factory offering.

We also have a complete check-list, no different than a pilot would use prior to take off--at least in concept. Though we've camped for well over 40 years, it's easy to overlook something important, or to assume your better-half did that task. We each check-off what we do on a common shared list (one column for things to do at home prior to leaving, one for prepping the trailer prior to leaving, and one for tear-down at the campground. We've had several family emergency situations over the years when we've had to break camp quickly, and be on our way. With thoughts on things besides the trailer, it would have been easy to overlook something important. And, the more gizmos you have on your trailer, whether from the factory, or add-on's you'll come up with, the more important having a checklist.

Wishing you many wonderful adventures!
