Question Kitchen faucet and toilet seat

Looking for any tips to keep the water from splashing all over at the kitchen sink. The faucet is 15 inches from the sink it it just splashes all over. I'd like to shorten the height of the faucet.

Also, the plastic toilet seat squeaks so much. Is there a way to quiet it or do I just need to replace the seat?

I know these seem like silly issues but they are annoying to me. Thanks.

Aerator, does the faucet have one, does it work right?

For the seat I suggest WD-40 Silicone or like product.

Was there one or two screens, two is better.
Lowes or Home Depot sell new faucet aerators which might be the way to go.

Might try silicone spray on the toilet seat hinge.
