Lesson Learned

Last week we took our TT to out for the first trip this year. The winter being so long this year I could hardly wait to back into a site and hook it up.
Took my time and checked everything. Being the first one on the site it was clean and ready to go, so I thought. After hooking up the water I noticed dark stuff in our newly installed water filter. It appears while the campground water supply was pressurized no one ran the water to flush the line. Couple of hours later a new filter, cleaned lines and screens.

Lesson learned - Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Also learn that lesson a couple years back, always turn on water and let it run a bit before hooking up RV at any site now. Cheaper and saves a lot work cleaning lines and filter. Thanks for posting a good note for people to remember at first of camping year.

Yep...Immediately after we back into a site, I check the water and electrical pedestal before unhitching or beginning to setup...I don't like doing things twice, especially on my free time ,)

Good timing on this note. We are heading out today, and I never even thought of this. The site we are going to has just opened too!
