I've tried it both ways and still don't have a good answer. The stabs on my trailer are power and have a single switch on the front and rear. When one side comes down and touches the ground, it stops and the other leg continues to come down until both are on the ground stabilizing the trailer. Now, this makes me think that the two legs are floating and not independently attached. If this is correct, then even if I put the stabs down before putting out the slides, when the slides do go out, the trailer will adjust so that the leg on the slide side does not get excessive weight put on it. Both legs will be down stabilizing the trailer but the weight will be evenly balanced side to side (slides in or out).
Does anybody have any thoughts on this subject?
