We have never been there, Boss Hoss, as we tend toward some of the parks with a more hiking within the park property itself. However, I see Aloha is on some real nice water there at Mullett Lake, and enjoys a great location from which to launch day trips to see the bridge, Mackinac Island, and all the other attractions around and near the Straits.

[QUOTE=Vern;724163]I was at the dump station at Ludington State Park on Monday, looking to get a good dump of all three waste tanks for the final time of the year before winterizing. I pulled out my Lynx Levelers in preparation to lift the door side of my TT to try the maximum gravity assistance trick in dumping my black tank.

A fellow camper with a big 5'er was at the next dump island and saw what I was doing. He suggested I instead use a tiered ramp-type one piece leveler/jack he had with him. I borrowed it and it worked great! I've never had that kind of flow from my black tank. It barely required a rinse with the flushing system.

For the DIYers out there, an alternative might be making your own. Old Coot posted pictures of the ones he made and travels with them on the back bumper.

Wolfwhistle,

Great build there!

I was going to mention, although I do not have pictures, 36" set can be built for about $10 in supplies at the hardware store.

Get a 6ft 2x8, cut it in half, cut the peices corner to corner then deck it. smaller rigs can get away with deck board for the top, we used 2x6 for the top with larger rigs. Gives you 8"of lift.
