Lost --- W/D hitch part

So I lost the bar that is used to raise the cam on a Reese Pro Series weight distribution hitch. I don't know what the technical name for this part. Its the hollow metal pipe... Does anyone have any ideas on what to use instead of the "pipe" that comes from Reese??? Is there a source for this part??? ( I checked the reese website and nada )

In a pinch, I used the hallow end of the handle for my floor jack.

Thanks for your ideas

Darren

Darren,
I used to use a short piece of EMT (Electrical conduit) for mine. Worked fine. However, if, after you hitch to your TV ball, you jack your camper tongue jack back up, lifting the TV at the same time, you will find you don't even need the pipe. I have been doing mine by hand for 3+ years. Some searching here on the forum will result in many posts about this.

You may find what you are looking for here, Reese Accessories and Parts | etrailer.com.

I think the part you need is sold in conjunction with the brackets and seems somewhat pricey if all you need is the pipe. John's approach may be all you need.

Good luck!

How about going to your local Lowes or Home Depot and buying a piece of 1/2" black gas pipe about 12 to 18" long? Should work perfectly.
