Low Point Drain for Fresh Water Tank

I can't access the actual drain for my fresh tank-due to bad knees.
Is it possible to drain the tank by opening the low point drains(I have 2) ?
I've been told that the pump will come on-but not sure.
Please help-all info appreciated!

The pump should run as it tries to maintain pressure. I think that there would still be some water left in the tanks as the suction line typically isn't from the lowest point in the tank...the drain for the tank is.
