Mod that lets you open the screen door easier

I seem to remember hearing somewhere about a simple mod to the screen
door that allowed you to open it without having to slide the panel back
and forth each time.

Anyone with tips, links, photos of this mod???

Thanks!!

Dan, we use this: Camco Mfg Inc - Screen Door Opener - Screen Doors - Camping World It works decent, but nothing to write home about. I remember seeing someone that had rigged up a push-button system.

Willis, that is the same opener that I have on my door. The mod that I remember from somewhere was a push button on top of the slider. The push button was actually a rod that went down and opened the stock latch.

Man you guys are FAST. I just posted this......

The one I'm thinking about was made from a bent coat hanger wire and
a hole drilled in the slide panel.
At least I think it was something like that.
Don't want to re-invent the wheel if someone has a link to that
mod, I want to do it!

We're bugging out the weekend after Labor day for our next excursion.

Later model campers come with a slide that has that already installed. May look into retrofitting one onto your camper. Shouldn't cost much as they are pretty simple.

I bought this toggle opener and never installed it. Too goofy looking IMO

This is the mod you want to do!

Now to figure out how to do it with a clear plastic panel there,

Hope too many people do not do the bicycle spoke mod as it will cut into my retirement income fund. Hope to go around campgrounds and make mods for everyone who wishes it as once they see it everyone wants it.
