Last year I found one growing in the area of the dog run, along my house. Growing right in the crack of the concrete. I did NOT eat it, because it was growing on the dog run (EW), still kind of cool. Was the only one I have ever found on my property, probably the only one i’ll ever find...lol

Niece in Iowa has a HOT SPOT that her and her boyfriend know about. She made a about $4-500 a day selling them roadside in front of her house. Their Hot spot didn't flood so those ones will be good.

That'd be a tough decision if I came across a motherlode of morels, wondering IF they were unfit for consumption. I'm an enthusiastic morel hunter and can't wait for our Michigan season to begin! Thoughtful of you to share the warning.

Several of our local county offices put that out the other day as mushroom season is upon us. Yeah...I hadn't thought about that in the flooded areas until they mentioned what problems could be involved. Love those little fun-guys

Something is missing. I don't see the actual warning. I'm guessing from #4 that it must be that 'shrooms from flooded areas may be unsafe.

They're warning the folks in the Nebraska, Iowa, Missouri areas that have been affected by the recent flooding. I didn't post the actual warning as the officials put this out over the radio a couple days ago.

Many of the "Sewage systems" in these areas were overwhelmed and large amounts of sewage from drains, septic systems, waste water plants was dumped into the flood water along with a vast array of chemicals.

I noticed the title was changed as I asked, but my original post with it is missing.

Yes I certainly see where the missing post could be a problem. Maybe I'll just redo on a new thread.

SITE TEAM !

As this post got kind of confusing to some, I redid the post under a new title and if you can or would...shut this one down...or do some of the voodoo magic you do with treads.

Thanks again !!

New Thread is: Warning...Morel Mushrooms.
