Find a wall stud. The backer board is to thin to support a TV.

Mounted a 32" in my Oasis. Have travelled with it on the wall and no issues. I asked the same question before mounting ours and talked to other owners. The majority recommended purchasing a good wall mount( bought mine through my dealer) and several said they take it off the wall and lay it flat on the bed when travelling. I emailed Forest River about the capacity of the the backer board to hold a 32" tv and they responded that it would handle it fine and that 32" was a size commonly mounted. The only caution was that I be careful with the length of screws used because you don't want them going through the wall. I can't recall the length they advised. My trailer is a 2014.

Wanting to do this in our camper with an 18" but was worried that it would hold. This is our first time with a tt (we had a pop-up before) and we're unsure how sturdy the walls/studs are.

My tv is 32" and I travel with it mounted. No issues with it working loose. Attached it to the backer board as recommended.
