Need help stove vent damper

Got a new Roo and am getting ready to go out for first trip. Stove vent damper has some odd latches and I can't get it to open. Anyone else have new flange led latches? Old rigg had the little toggles that were normal.

If they're the same as mine, I had to push up and out on them. I used a screwdriver to help pry the door open. Crazy tight, but has gotten easier over time. To close, just push it closed at the clips.

Thanks Mr Joe. Took a little persuasion but came open without breaking. Now I understand how it works I won't be so afraid To use muscle on it.

Once I got ours open, I put a pc of Velcro on it so it wouldn't rattle and left it open. Been that way since Feb 2012 with no problems.

Thanks. May have to consider that because after closing it was still really hard to open.

Tried mine this weekend (our new 320RS) Was sure that I was going to break it before I could get it open. It was just as hard to get latched back closed. Hope it gets easier.
Congrats on the new rig.
