We're purists- we like our old fashion s'mores better than any alternatives we've found (including using a Reese's Peanut Butter Cup instead of Hershey's chocolate).
BUT- this was our single greatest purchase:
Once you toast the marshmellow and make the s'mores sandwich- you slap it into this s'more maker and melt the chocolate for the best ooey-gooey goodness your mouth will ever get to enjoy.

Graham cracker, toasted marshmallow, Hershey's Spread. Almost instant Smore! For even faster, use marshmallow fluff. Add peanut butter if you want. They are great!

meh, some things, like the "better mouse trap" just don't appeal to me
I'll stay with true s'mores.
I'm old fashioned I guess. /snark

Forum rule: S'mores consumed between 5 PM on Friday and 10 Pm on Sunday have only 20 calories each. If you wash them down with red wine you cancel out the calories entirely plus get all the anti-oxidant benefits from the wine.
Just saying.....

Can you provide the medical research data that supports that?

No - I understand a research study was undertaken but the results were inconclusive... S'mores cooked in labs it turns out, don't perform the same way those cooked over campfires do. maybe we need a new study. I volunteer to be in the test cohort.

Any wine is acceptable..... so are mixed drinks and beer.
By the way, we just recently got back from hershey. At the hershey museum we took a cocoa bean class in the chocolate lab. The teacher said cocoa beans are seeds that come from a fruit. Chocolate is made from fruit. So what I came out of that class hearing was chocolate is a fruit. Game on. And yes, in my book, wine is a fruit too.
Use reeses cups and you have fruit, protein, carbs and desert all in one. Wow what a nice balanced meal.

My Perfect S'More - cinnamon graham crackers, Peeps, and dark chocolate. The peep has sugar coating and caramelizes.
