Does anyone here have a checklist of what to take on the first camping trip?

The list of stuff I generaly take are:
-Beer
-Cigars
-My folding chair
-Grill
-Charcoal
-Steaks
-Chips & Salsa con queso

The rest is just the fluff the GF wants to bring, lol.

My basic principal is, if you think you might need it, bring it. If you don't use it, don't bring it next time. You will find a groove on what you need camping. Everyone has different needs or wants for a good time. Mine are basic, others want games, variety of foods, and other stimuli. I take the KISS aproach; steak, beer, snacks, cigar, chair and fire. I don't need anything else to be happy with those covered.

Remember, you are (most likely) camping to get away from all of the "stuff" and find a simple, relaxing, and stress free moment. Just think about what you need to get to your "zen" and you will be fine. Plus, figuring this stuff out is half the fun!
