No kink RV water hose

Hey y'all.....

we are thinking about getting a NEW NO Kink RV water hose.
In doing my research... I see that they are made by Apex and Valterra.
Some are 1/2' or 5/8.

My question is which manufacture is better?
And with diameter is better?

Any advice or suggestions?

Not familiar with those two brands but I got a "Never-Kink" hose from CW that is working well. I really like the pastic piece on the end of the hose that attaches to the faucet easily without hurting my hand. I believe I got the larger 5/8 size.

I think you can't beat these...

I carry 3 25 foot ones.

My DW says, based on my clothing selections anyway, that my taste is in my feet.

So, no; can't say as I have tasted a difference.

Your experience may differ.

Before buying the 'Never-Kink" hose I did buy a coil fresh water hose. I really wanted one since it would pack up smaller with no effort than a regular hose. When I went to connect it to the faucet I didn't have it on tight at the trailer connection so it came off flying & amost hitting me in the head.

I still like the coil ones but no longer own one.

I carry 3 so that it does not need to be stretched all the way out.
You will not get a full 25 feet from the coiled hose like you would with the roll hose. I just hated fighting with the white snake...

I can see using more than one hose will help cut out the tension; therefore, no need to duck & cover.

Actually I wouldn't mind giving the coil style hose another try.

5/8"

I go for the larger diameter. The reason is that at some camp grounds the water faucets require a "water theif". With a small diameter hose there is more resistance to flow and a stronger grip or clamp is needed to keep the hose connection to the faucet. The faster I can fill the tank the better.
