Ron...I usually add a cap of detergent and 1/2 cup of Calgon powder softener in the toilet and wash it down with a 6 gal jerry can of water after dumping. I treat the black tank only.

Ok Dave my question to you is say you dump your black water "empty".
Then you put in the "geo-method" and add 6 gallons of water.
Wheres the first 2 gallons-ish go with the "geo-method" ?
In the empty black tank pipe that on my unit appears to be 2 1/2 feet long plus the 4" diameter.
Hows the "geo-method" working when some are all is in the drain pipe?

Hmmmmmm.

Thoughts?

Well, if his camper is like mine; all in the tank. The dump valves are mounted right at the tank outlet.

Like herk's, the valve is right at the neck of the tank, so all is in the tank. No harm in using more water and detergent/calgon...just using up some tank capacity.

Nice thought but the shipping to Canada would be expensive...have to use a courier service probably because of the weight. If a courier service, you'd have to pay a brokerage fee to clear Canada Customs.

Perhaps you could send it through the regular mail...envelope full of white powder...it'll get through Customs no problem!

Thanks for the offer, but we're good. We do a lot our camping in the US so finding it there hasn't been a big issue. In fact, have another trip planned for New Hampshire in mid Sept. One box lasts us more than a year.

Use the cheap Dollar store fabric softner, makes the black tank slick as *****. We are not cooking with this stuff, and you do not have to worry about buying Calgon on the (Black) market. Youroo!!
