outdoor sink when you don't have an outdoor kitchen

Our popup HW 277 had an outdoor kitchen. It was a slideout sink and stovetop. We loved that outdoor kitchen and for years we would look at the hybrid campers and say no to them as they did not have the outdoor kitchen. Well, when we saw the 23WS hybrid, we figured that we could set up our own outdoor kitchen like we did in our tenting days and it would not the deal breaker we thought it would be.

So our outdoor sink: an 8 gallon wide mouth tote and a 12volt portable shower with an on/off switch. I also got a converter so I can plug the 12 volt shower into a regular 120 volt outlet. Granted, it is not hot water - but it is running water. This weekend was our first trip to use my new outdoor sink.

So we arrived at the campground, this is our first time to this particular state park, we have electric only hookup. We check in and proceed to our site and have a picture perfect back in, smooth as silk on the first try. We are even level side to side so no need for the lego blocks at all. Get the xchocks in place, the stabilizers down, the electric plugged in and then realized that we did not fill the fresh water tank! - Sooo I figured I could use my outdoor sink!! We filled the tote, took the shower head off, stuck the hose in the fresh water inlet, turned on the shower pump and transferred the water right into the fresh water tank! Three trips and we had plenty of water for the weekend.

I got the hydroller off of Amazon. It works pretty good, but my 6 foot tall hubby has to stoop a bit as the handle is not tall enough for him and the wheels could be bigger for stability on dirt (it rolls best on paved roads).

Looked at them and ruled it out as we tend to camp with no water hookups. This would still need some way to get water to it and pump it.
