Outside Tv connection on Micro lite 21FBRS

This may be a silly question but I have not tried my TV outside yet. I have the IRv entertainment center inside. I Was wondering if on the outside Coaxial connection, I am only limited to over the air signal or will the DVD signal be sent out there too.. After all there's nothing like scary movies by the campfire....

I would think you would have to run the hdmi cable out the window and connect to the tv for dvd to work
