Just another mouse not suggestion

Didn't want to stray off the topic, but we tried the peppermint oil one year, and found mouse droppings in the trailer, since then, We have been using bounce dryer sheets for several years, we are surrounded by farmer's fields, never ever had a mouse intrusion, buy a 20 pack, costs about 4.00 and the rv smells nice in the spring!

we have been using Earth Kind "Fresh Cab" packets...they seem to do the trick...we DON'T have ANY mice...that i have seen. We do check our RV on a regular bases when not in use.
Results for Fresh Cab

Update. There was an improvement with the peppermint oil, but still found small remnants of mice. So here goes the dryer sheets as suggested prior. The camper smells great though.

I didn't want to take a chance with a home made remedy since so many of them are Hit Miss. I purchased a box of Fresh Cab, used what I needed and sold the rest for a bit more than I paid for the box and my gas to go to the states to pick it up.
This stuff I know works and smells great.

Updating my adventure in trying to keep mice out. I originally used twenty Irish Spring soap bars, bounce dryer sheets, dryer sheets from the dollar store (stronger smell), sticky traps and oil of peppermint (some on a cotton ball). A month ago, I found one mouse in a sticky trap. Added more oil of peppermint on cotton balls and put two glue traps and oil of peppermint in the outside refrigerator vent. Believed this is how the first one found its way in. Also put out 8 more glue traps for a total of 15. Drove 10 hours south today to check on progress. No mice and no signs of mice. Hope this continues. The unit really smells nice!!!

UMMMMMM glue strips. Nibble nibble to try and get out of the trap only to get re-stuck. And then still die and decay. Not to mention the critters that jump off the critters when the host starts to decay.
You drove 10 hours to check and see if strips were tagged by mice and to see if the oil was working?

Sounds like you have a mice problem if you had to dedicate that much financial investment and time (which equals actual travel time + gas + meals + wear and tear + displaced things you should have or could staying home not worrying about checking on progress of home made remedies which obviously didn't work the first time used.)

Fresh Cab. Smells better and you won't have body parts and mice crap in areas where the oil or strips are not.
37 $ and change delivered every 3 months for 12 bags. 3 in your trailer for 3 moths and close the door. My unit is in my driveway and I've gone in 2 times since the snow flew.
Once to drop the in the small packets and once to put the Christmas items we got each other each for next summers misadventures. Door closed.
I put 4 in my house (older home) where the cat was getting mice every week last winter - since then we've not seen or caught one mouse since. Caught 5 mice in traps in my garage in 2 weeks (no fresh cab inside becasue I sold the remaining packets for 5$ each which covered part of my initial cost).

We just picked up our second recurring shipment of 12 packets last weekend - already have 5 sold out of that 12 and swapped out the ones in my house and trailer.
Superchief - save yourself the trip, the guess work, teh disgusting parts pickup and the pain of knowing your investment is packed with mice where your family (kids?) is going to sleep, cook and eat. Spend 120 a year on 48 packets and sell what you don't use to buddy campers who want protection that actually works.

And no I don't work for the company - the company works for me!

Thanks for the information. Had seen posts about the product but really didn't know what it was. Will consider your suggestion.
Just to clarify my posting. Several reasons to drive the ten hours. Golf was involved, see friends, start motorhome & generator and check on anti-mice campaign. Finding only one mouse in two months, I will take. I tried to over protect the rig with what I had done. We will have to see how the rest of the anti-mice storage process goes.

So it wasn't just a pied piper mission after all... lol that other 4 letter word does appear (GOLF). If you found one mouse there were more that heard you open the door... to your car or truck and ran
