Question about stabilizer jacks and winter

This will be my first winter with the new trailer and was wondering if i should leave the jacks down or up. I live in western Montana. We can get fairly harsh weather but mostly worried about the ice build up and rust potential. Wind isnt much of an issue in this valley so not worried about that. Thanks for the input!

I leave mine up for the winter. I don't see any need for them to be down. My TT is at a storage lot, so if I had a tire go flat, it my be awhile before I would know it. Which could put more stress on the jacks than I would like.

I would lube the jacks real good, leave them retracted and block up between the axles to take some weight off the tires/suspension and forget it til warm weather.

Any dry lube would work to prevent rust. Or for you, just use motor oil and spray WD40 on it in the spring and use an air hose to blow the residue off in the spring.

You could dig up a few cans of money you have buried all around and pave the damn road. Tightwad!

When you say "dry lube",, would that be graphite?

I sprayed my jacks with the dry lube you use for the slide. Not sure how long it will last though.
