Rain Gutter gap leaks water

Forest river Coachmen 292 BHS 2016. there is a gap in the rain gutter where the awning attaches. It was like this from the initial purchase and I noticed they tried to patch it with a rubber like substance which did not last. Now it's leaking and I want to repair. Any suggestions? is this common?

Had a couple leaking seams on mine also. Cleaned and sealed with proflex and all has been good for a couple years.

I have the same issue on the far side of the trailer. I've done everything but clean the original sealant out and reseal it.

I have the same rubber looking sealant at the seam.

That is exactly what needs to be done and it will solve the problem.
