Recommendation for a new sewer hose???

My trailer came with a cheap sewer hose. I am looking to replace it with something better before I have an incident.... I want something that will fit in my bumper. Thanks.

I buy my at Wally World. They need to be replaced every couple years. I always keep an extra new hose in the trailer all the time. They are cheap.

Rhino Flex RV Sewer Kit, 15-ft. | Canadian Tire

I don't put mine in bumper, so you will have to see if it fits. Very good hose.

Ditto on the cheap one coming with the TT. The one that came with ours has no fitting on the end that goes into the underground dump tank. that's a recipe for an "incident".

The link above shows the one I've marked on eBay and plan to purchase.

We aren't putting ours in the bumper either. I found a perfect sized shallow plastic lidded box (just something I'd acquired because I figured it'd come in handy some day) here at the house and the hose fits perfectly into it. That goes into the under-the-bed, accessible from the outside storage compartment of our V-lite.

A word to the wise .... even tho most trailer bumpers are made to function as sewer hose storage, it is not a good idea. The reason why ? .... sewer hoses are often put away wet or damp . This dampness eventually (and it doesn't take that long !) begins to rust out the bumper interior, causing rough surfaces, which abrades your sewer hose causing small holes in the hose. You can guess what happens after that. There are several other hose storage solutions available, including plastic fence posts, plastic storage tubes, etc etc.

We found that the Rhino flex system is a good aftermarket hose choice.

I wonder if there is any way to prevent bumper rust? Maybe a plastic sleeve that could slide into the bumper? I really don't want to take up the storage room with a sewer hose.

Might save a few $ at Walmart. Camco 39761 RhinoFLEX RV Sewer Hose Kit - Walmart.com

No, the elbow will not fit into the bumper. We have to take ours off every time. Excellent hose, except for this minor inconvenience.

I started with this Blue Line kit. Notice it comes with caps for storage. I've since bought another longer hose, extra connectors and caps.
Blueline Quick Connect Sewer Kit - Prest-O-Fit 1-0202 - Sewer Hoses - Camping World
It all goes in to a plastic storage tub.

Mine fits just fine. You just need to clock the 4 nubs so it slides in. My buddy has the same Rhino hose and it fits in his bumper too.

Thr ansewer is YES,I have Posted Many times about the vinyl soffet to place in the bumper. Also the Red Valterra Kit that screws into hoses and has the 90. We have had the (Same) hoses and Kit for (10) years. No leaks or surprises. Youroo!!

We bought the Valterra Dominator 15' kit when we picked up our Rocky. It's only 2 months old but we're pleased with it. It fits in the bumper but we do have to take the elbow off. The hose seems like it will be very durable. In the RV store they had a demo piece and you can step on it and it pops back into shape. It collapses very well for storage.
We have yet to camp at a place with full hook ups - we tend to prefer state parks and Nat forests. So the only place we've had the hose fully extended is here at home where we can hook up to a clean out at the back of the driveway.

ANd if you do end up having an "incident," you must report it to the campground manager. They will clean it up, but don't just walk away.

I've had three "incidents" in the 9 years I've been RVing.......

I picked up Rhino hose today. It looks like its well built.

Youroo, I'd like more info on your bumper solution. Maybe a link to a prior post/thread.

Was there supposed to be a link in that post to a previous discussion or a place to find a bumper sleeve?
I'm also curious if one is available.
