Road Trip Apps

Does anyone know of a good app for the I-Phone for road trip planning? I looked at several and I can not find one with the option to stay away from tunnels or roads with height restrictions. I may just have to do it the old fashion way.
Thank you in advance for your help.

If you do find one please let us know. We use the Rand McNally RV GPS and it does all that but I would like the option to have two systems with different parameters at the same time.

I have a Magellan RV GPS with those features and a 7" screen for clarity. Magellan says the bridge information comes from a truckers site (below) so they all probably have the same source. My GPS also has traffic reports/alerts with re-routes, nearest camper repair places, campsites, among many other features for RV's. I do have a smart phone but without unlimited data, air time using the GPS feature is expensive and unnessary. I prefer the GPS.

Not for use on smart phones...

But the two sites I've used on my home computer are:

Find your next scenic drive on myscenicdrives.com

and

Home of the Best RV Trip Planner Ever

There is an annual cost to use the "Trip Wizard"... but well worth it.

You can then download your trip to your GPS, and head out.

Problem we found with iphone apps is that around Yellowstone, Mt. Rushmore we did not have good coverage, GPS was more reliable. Plus there was always conflicting information, so which one to rely on??

Cost of Trip Wizard is $37 a year.
I've found it MOST useful.
Good luck!
