My trailer has the hand cranked spool for the power cord...since I usually just throw the power cord in the bed of the truck I use the spool to wind up my water hose on....I keep a 75 ft section on it first then a 25ft section drains the water as I wind it up....for those times when I need to store the electric line I wind it up as it lays on the ground and then put in basement...that is easier then trying to wind it up on that spool...

I carry a 75' "shrinking hose". Since I'm not FT and only make 10-15 trips a season, it works great. Just make sure and get the ones with the brass fittings, not the plastic.

Work at Lowe's in the lawn and garden for 4 yrs. then you'll get it.....And you'll always be unraveling someone else's mess.I lay the end on the ground then start to make a circle you do have to roll the hose if it starts to kink like you are turning it over til it lays right, keep it circling and voila!

It has always been and issue until I purchase this hose and roll. From Australia and use one for my hose and one for the electric cord.

I carry two 5 gallon buckets in one of my storage compartments, one for the water hose the other for the electric cord. When I unhook I drain the hose, put one end in the bucket and use the bucket to hold the hose while I coil it into the bucket. Same thing with the electric cord. i'm using a heavy duty potable water hose. If you've ever watched Deadliest Catch, watch when they're coiling the rope from the winch into the barrel, same idea.

I have a couple of 25' Camco "Never Kink" hoses, and they are easy to roll up and (almost) never kink.

Edit: Available at Camping World and Amazon

Buy the 1/2 hose vs the 5/8 hose. Way easier to roll up and still plenty of volume.

This is how I store my Anaconda (spare 50AMP Cable - works great and you can store the dogbones in the middle (and a Progressive portable EMS if you use one).

For water hose and extension cords, it is tough to beat this:

Home Depot. $9 each.

One for the 10 gauge extension cord we carry, and one for the potable water hose.
(Our Main power cable has a storage bag it came in, so we use that.)

Our exterior access storage doors aren't big enough for the Homer Bucket to fit. We have a smaller bucket with a lid for our non-potable hose (which is a flat hose) and the flusher-outer clear sewer hose attachment thingy... (you totally know what I mean by that) what the heck is the name of that thing? [emoji848]

Electric cord reel works great.
