I liked the idea of lighting up the outside of the trailer when the need arises. I wanted to be able to control it from the inside so I added a
switch.

i tried the fuse in the 2 top pins and all i got was the tail lights??

The fuse (or flasher unit) goes between the ground and the running lights.

Either your marker lights are not working, or you are jumping between the battery charge and the brake/signal light prongs.

On Lou's pictures, you need to jump between the prongs at 11 and 1 o'clock.
