Rust on my 08 roo 21ss

I have a brand new roo 21ss and on the bunk ends their is a white plastic moulding that goes around the edge.Ware the snip it to make the 90 degree corners on the top it;s all rusty.This is on both top corners on both bunks outside.Anyone else got this problem.

We saw this same thing on a 23SS Shamrock (same unit) at a dealer's lot. Brand new 2008.

My shamrock did that too...almost right away! yes, its the screws...they rust right out. change em if ya can! also..look at the skylight in the bathroom..the clear part on the inside... take all those screws out and change them. they rust quick (becasue of the condensation from the shower) and it will stain your nice white ceiling pretty qwick!

If it's the screws that rust, you could replace them with stainless steel ones from a marine supply outfit.

It's the trim around the exterior of the bunk doors...

It’s the white combing trim around the exterior edge of the bunk doors. Rust occurs at the exposed cut ends and notches made in the upper corners. The inner section of trim contains a non-stainless steel “gripping” component that helps to keep the trim secured to the edge. Ours, yours and everyone else who owns a Roo or Shamrock is likely to see the same thing. Just a poor choice of materials to use on behalf of Forest River.
